On the eve of International Day for PWDs 3rd Ded’2013 it is requested that “No useless, unproductive statement / declaration / assurance be made for Persons with Disability as these does not help PWDs in any way




INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR DISABLED PERSON ‘2013 – WHAT SHOULD BE OUR AIM FOR BETTERMENT OF DISABLED PERSON.

We do take oath on PWD 3rd December’2013 Day that:-

1) No useless, unproductive statement / declaration / assurance will be made for Persons with Disability as these does not help PWDs in any way. For safety, security, exemptions, relaxations, or any other rules made so far for the benefit / betterment to Old Aged Disabled / Disability Persons which are specifically brought to the kin knowledge of the concerned Government Administration for necessary action. Nothing done so far for OADs. Do every thing sincerely if you really want to help PWD and OAD persons.
2) Do help / assist a Disabled Person on merit according to your capacity / affordability but sincerely. Lord God will bless you rather you may feel satisfaction for such good works.
3) Do not insult, ignore, and neglect a Disabled Person.
4) Don’t make fun of the people with disability, regardless of what the disability is. Disability may be physical one, mental one but this disability do not stop them being wonderful human on globe. Every one has feelings, every one can feel heart.
5) You might be at your middle age but please don’t take guaranteed that you are absolutely safe on this globe. What will happen to you in next moment cannot be predicted by any one.
6) Whenever an Old Aged Disabled Person is cheated / deprived / compelled to sign / act on threat should report the matter to the local police authority [in case of aged disabled person e-mail complain to be accepted] who will render necessary services to the victim Disabled as immediately as possible.
7) For Persons with Disability there exists certain relaxations / relief’s available at Indian Railways but not being followed or allowed to be followed due to non cooperation by a sector of Railway employees. Railway Authority needed to ensure implementation of it’s framed rules for PWDs.
Administrators of a Department, concerned Minister in charge and Head of an administration will personally monitor an ensure that the issues presented by a Disabled / Aged Disabled are not unnecessarily delayed and disposed positively as immediately as possible.
9) Let all of us hope for a better tomorrow for every one.

 We propose to observe the ensuing International Day for Disability – 3rd December’2013 as “Decent Work for Old Aged Person with Disabilities, OADs.” As these category of persons are always neglected so far.

Submitted before competent authority deals with betterment to PWDs at national as well as international level.

  2. The IDPwD is international observance of UN so writing to national bodies to change the theme is futile. The 'theme for 2013 has already been decided so no point in changing it. It's not that we are completely immune to elderly disabled as we have 'International Day of Older Persons' every year. I highlighted the issue of taking care the needs of elderly citizens with disability last year.
